The Portland Forest School
As with all independent schools, tuition covers much of the cost of educating each student, however there is still a gap between the cost of tuition and the full scope and breadth of what we strive to offer every student and family. We rely on contributions to the school to support our areas of greatest need that are not covered by tuition alone.
Areas of Greatest Need:
Tuition Assistance:
Your contributions will directly support tuition assistance programs, making our school accessible to a wider range of families.
Support for Faculty and Staff Development:
Your donation will enable us to provide ongoing professional development (PD) opportunities to our faculty and staff, ensuring the highest quality of education. Specifically, Culturally Responsive Program Training, PD on teaching strategies to support neurodiversity, and PD on naturalist skills connecting our current curriculum with specific Forest School Skills.
Programmatic Enhancements including Transportation and Off Site Land Partnerships:
Help us expand and diversify our off-site travel locations as we consistently look for vehicle funding to support more far afield destinations to support our Forest School work.
